9 week beginners group starting October 2017

RunTogether group, RTW runners, will be starting up a beginners running group from the first week in October 2017 with the option of registering for a weekly session on Wednesdays at 7.30pm. This is a great opportunity to get yourself fit ahead of the festive season as the final session will take place in the last week of November & you will be exercising with like-minded individuals, working together to achieve the same goal!

We recommend joining the beginners group if you are starting from scratch (i.e. no or very little experience of jogging/running) or if you are returning from injury/illness. This 9 week plan will have you jogging 3 miles continuously before the festive period arrives as we gradually build up from walking to jogging each week. The group is led by an England Athletics qualified leader & coach in running fitness who himself has been running for 5 years. Each session will begin with an introduction and explanation followed by a 5 minute warm-up & then on to the main session. We then end with a cool down and static stretches.

Individual sessions cost just £2 with the option of paying £15 up front to attend all 9 Wednesday sessions (saving £3 over the 9 weeks).

There are just 12 places available on each session, so please be sure to register your details on the RunTogether website and then book yourself on to the session(s) that you wish to attend – no payment is required until you come along to the first session.
