As some of you may be aware, the ballot for this year’s Royal Parks Half Marathon was announced on Friday 7th February 2020. If you were disappointed for not getting a place, we have been provided the opportunity to take up some charity places by Chiara Creates who is the Relationship Fundraising Manager at Hospice in the Weald.
The Half Marathon itself is not until October 2020, so this provides plenty of time to train & build up your mileage.

RTW runners group leader Joe Watts ran at this event in 2017 and he was shocked at the entry price via the ballot (approximately £60), however, he said that the event itself was very well organised, well supported and the race route took in some amazing sites, including running through four of London’s eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens.
The cost of a charity place is normally £30 but we have very kindly been offered a discounted rate of £15 per person, if we can provide 5 or more runners. The charity ask for sponsorship in return for this to help cover the cost of the place and to raise much needed funds for their services.
