Welcome back to our weekly round-up which focuses on all things going on with our RunTogether running group. This week we look at the group sessions which we provided, both outdoor and virtually as well as how you can get your hands on one of our club running vests. Finally, we take a look at a new free, weekly, 30 minute running event which kicks-off on 20th-21st June as well as the RTW runners virtual 10km pairs relay which will be contested over the first weekend of July!
Group outdoor sessions
This week we provided our first outdoor group session in Forest Row as well as returning to Southborough once again on Thursday evening to provide two more evening sessions.
From the week commencing 15th June we wil be introducing a fourth group, again in Southborough, on a Monday evening 6.30-7.30pm. Therefore, we now have 4 weekly outdoor running drills & interval sessions available to book:
Southborough – Mondays 6.30-7.30pm; Thursdays 5.15-6.15pm & 6.30-7.30pm
Forest Row – Wednesdays 6.30-7.30pm
Virtual running groups
Our beginners group complete week 3 of our “Zero to 30” plan, which saw them each complete 3 intervals of 5 minutes jogging and 5 minutes walking. On Sunday the group came together for their virtual group catch-up on Zoom and everyone seems to be managing very well indeed.
Our all abilities group completed an interval session of 3, 2, 1 minute faster running intervals with 2, 1, 3 minute jog/walk recoveries. Again, there was some good feedback from the group who are enjoying some structure to their weekly running! If you would like to join our virtual groups then please visit our RunTogether groups page.
With the hot, sunny and humid weather that we have experienced of late, now is the perfect time to get your hands on one of our club vests. The vests are manufactured by running specialist Ronhill and made of technical fabric which helps to wick-away sweat. We have limited quantities remaining in ladies sizes 10 (x1), 12 (x5) & 14 (x2) as well as men’s small (x2) and medium (x1). Vests cost £20 each. If you would like to purchase one then please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
