The weekend of 25th-26th July 2020 saw the second RTW runners virtual running challenge take place. With a total of 14 runners entered for the 2 x 1 mile relay, each runner was tasked with completing a solo mile on a course of their choosing whilst adhering to the Covid19 social distancing measures which are in place. Runners were paired up in advance based on their estimated 1 mile time and below we reveal the winning team, fastest male & female and the most improved individual.
Analysis: Our congratulations go to Richard Woodfield and Donal Clarke, who together produced a very impressive 2 mile time of 15:03. This is in fact the second time that Richard has been involved in a winning team, as he was part of the winning 10km relay team last month. The second placed team of Heather Jenner and Matt Parrett were just 3 seconds behind the winners in 15:06 and in third place with a time of 15:35 were Kathryn Ebrey & Gem Stilliard.
Congatulations once again to both Heather and Dom for putting in the fastest female and male times respectivley. The most improved individual result saw Matt Parrett putting in a blistering 8:22 mile time – more than 2 minutes quicker than his estimated time. Unfortunately, there was a DNF or DNS (?) as one runner did not provide a result.
